Discover more about me.
Where to start? We have three children, twin boys and a daughter all under the age of twelve. My elderly mother lives with us. I grew up in Massachusetts and Oregon. My husband is from Iowa. We met when we were both in the Army stationed near Savannah, Georgia. We have lived in Ohio, New York, Iowa, Oregon, California, and back to Iowa. I served 7 years in the Army before pursuing my photography full-time. We have two rescue dogs named Queso and Cody. Life is full.
My love of photography and visual style is rooted in photojournalism by the works of Sebastião Salgado, Henri Cartier Bresson, and the countless photographers in my father’s National Geographic magazine collection that I poured over as a kid. Yummy light, authentic moments, and helping my clients grow their business or record family moments.

I earned an undergraduate degree from The United States Military Academy at West Point and then served in the Army for seven years as an Aviation Officer and helicopter pilot. I earned my MA in Photography from Ohio University and am now a full-time professional photographer. Also an Eddie Adams Alumni. Some of my photojournalism work is represented by Zuma Press.
Outside of my long term book project about The Old Guard soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery, I really enjoy Branding and Lifestyle photography for small businesses and Family Portraiture.
Causes around the environment, veterans, and children are especially close to my heart.
Should you or anyone you know need imagery for their family or business let me know. Hopefully we can work something out. Thank you for your time. Have a great rest of your day!
